Weekly event at Old Post Office Plaza will feature food trucks and live music Wednesdays from 11:30a.m. -1:30 p.m.
ST. LOUIS – Lunchtime Live – Downtown St. Louis’ premier weekly outdoor lunchtime gathering featuring live music, food trucks, and great networking opportunities — will kick off September 15 at Old Post Office Plaza.
Lunchtime Live provides not only dining, entertainment, and networking opportunities for residents, workers, and visitors to Downtown St. Louis, but also brings vibrancy and foot traffic to the neighborhood every week.
“Increasing activation of parks and open spaces Downtown through music and events like Lunchtime Live is exactly what was called for in the Design Downtown STL plan,” said Sarah Arnosky, Vice President of Greater St. Louis, Inc., which helped sponsor Lunchtime Live through its CentralCitySTL initiative. “It’s exciting to see the plan being put into action.”
Lunchtime Live will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday from September 15 through November 3 at Old Post Office Plaza, 801 Locust Street in Downtown St. Louis. Attendees at the September 15 kickoff event can grab lunch from food trucks including One Dish Wonder, Wayno’s International Cuisine, and Guerrilla Street Food. Music will be provided by Johnny Chase. Food trucks and musical acts will change from week to week, so people should check for updates on the Lunchtime Live website at: https://lunchtimelivestl.com/events
Event organizers noted that in addition to providing new outdoor food and entertainment options, activations like Lunchtime Live have the added benefit of enhancing public safety efforts.
“One of our core focus areas is increasing public safety Downtown and events like Lunchtime Live and other activations in our open spaces help increase foot traffic, which contributes to a more vibrant, clean, and safe neighborhood,” said Kelli McCrary, Executive Director of the Downtown St. Louis Community Improvement District.
Lunchtime Live is sponsored by Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the Downtown St. Louis Community Improvement District.
